Upon arrival, you are met and escorted to the hotel.

Morning city tour shows the panoramic view from Tokyo Tower, then
on to the Imperial Palace Plaza, Asakusa Kannon Temple, with its
Nakamise shopping arcade, Tasaki Pearl Gallery and drive through
the famous Ginza district. Free afternoon to explore on your own.

Day 4 • Tokyo |
|
Free day or you could join an optional excursion–we suggest a half
day walking tour that visits the Meiji Shrine, trendy Harajuku
district, and includes a Sumida River boat cruise which passes
under 12 unique bridges and is a delightful way to see the Tokyo
skyline.

Day 5 • Tokyo/Mount Fuji/Hakone |
|
Early morning drive to Mount Fuji, where you stop at the 5th
station, halfway up the mountain, for breathtaking views. Proceed
to scenic Hakone National Park, with a cruise on Lake Ashi and a
cable car ride up Mount Komagatake for a panoramic view of Hakone
National Park. At Hakone, stay at a mountain hot springs resort.

Day 6 • Hakone/Kyoto |
|
Motor Coach to Odawara station. Board the famous Bullet train bound
for the ancient capital of Kyoto.

|
Tour renowned Nijo Castle (or Ryoanji Temple), Kinkakuji Temple's
Golden Pavilion, Kyoto Imperial Palace or Higashi Honganji Temple
and the Kyoto Handicraft Center. In the afternoon, perhaps take an
optional tour to Nara's Todaiji Temple and Kasuga Shrine, where
tame deer peer out between medieval stone lanterns.

Day 8 • Kyoto/Hiroshima |
|
Take a JR Super Express train to Hiroshima. Then visit the Peace
Memorial Park and Peace Memorial Museum.

Day 9 • Hiroshima (Miyajima Excursion) |
|
In the morning, travel by motor coach to Miyajima-guchi. Ferry to
Miyajima Island, and see its vermilion Torii gate rising 53 ft. out
of the water, marking the approach to Itsukushima Shrine. Later,
return to your hotel in Hiroshima.
