Day 1 • Depart for Beijing
Fly from San Francisco to China's capital city, Beijing.

Day 2 • Arrive Beijing, China
On arrival, you will be escorted to your hotel.

Day 3 • Beijing |
|
Visit Tiananmen Square and the Imperial Palace in the Forbidden
City, including the jewelry section. This afternoon, a fun-filled
pedicab ride takes you through the Hutong district's ancient narrow
streets to enjoy a close-up look at the heritage of this exciting
city, including a visit with a local family. Then make a stop at
the Drum Tower for a panoramic view of the city. Tonight, toast you
arrival in China with a glass of wine at a delicious Peking Duck
welcome dinner party.

Day 4 • Beijing |
|
Walk along the Great Wall today. Stroll along the Sacred Way to the
Ming Tombs and Chang Ling Exhibition Hall, then visit a cloisonné
factory and watch the skilled artisans at work. Buffet dinner at
The Peninsula.

Day 5 • Beijing/Shanghai |
|
Morning is at leisure. Afternoon we fly to Shanghai. Check into
your hotel, then enjoy a buffet dinner in the hotel.

Day 6 • Shanghai |
|
Sightseeing highlights: the Shanghai Museum, including handheld
recorder pointing out the special features of the museum's
permanent collection, Nanjing or Huai Hai Road shopping street, a
carpet factory, The Yu Garden, The Bund and the Children's Palace.
Lunch is at the Wanxihe Restaurant. Tonight, after dinner at LuLu
Restaurant, attend a performance of the renowned Shanghai acrobats.

Day 7 • Shanghai/Xi'an |
|
The morning is at leisure. Afternoon, fly to historic Xi'an, then
enjoy a buffet dinner at your hotel.

Day 8 • Xi'an |
|
See the famed terra-cotta warriors and Bronze Chariot. Enjoy the
Circle Vision Movie. On to visit to the Shaanxi Provincial
Historical Museum with our exclusive appreciation visit of the
private artifact room where you may handle some of the ancient
treasures from the museum's collection. A sumptuous dumpling lunch
at Defachang Restaurant. This evening, enjoy dinner and a fabulous
show at the Tang Dynasty Theatre.

Day 9 • Xi'an/Guilin |
|
This morning visit the exquisitely constructed Wild Goose Pagoda.
In the afternoon fly to Guilin, set in the heart of a magnificent

Day 10 • Guilin |
|
A
deluxe cruise on an air-conditioned boat along the Li River reveals
the haunting beauty of Guilin's mist-wrapped peaks en route to

|
This morning, see dramatic rock formations at Reed Flute Cave and
