Fly SFO to Tokyo via NW27 departing at 12:15pm.
Day 2/Nov 17/Sunday ARRIVE SHANGHAI
Arrive Tokyo at 4:45pm, connect NW11 to Shanghai (5:50pm/8:20pm), which is becoming a symbolic of the rapid growth of China’s economy, upon arrival, a friendly guide will meet you and transfer you to deluxe Huating Hotel and Tower Shanghai.
Day 3/Nov 18/Monday SHANGHAI AB, L, SD
After breakfast in the hotel, your day sightseeing begins with the visit of architectural masterpiece – Shanghai Museum, the Bund (waterfront) and the Orient Pearl- TV Tower.
Enjoy a regional dinner tonight.

Visit the silk rug factory in the morning. Fly to Wuhan via CZ3576 (4:05pm/5:35pm), airport reception/dinner at a local restaurant, then board a deluxe Victoria Cruise ship for your upstream sailing. (The Yangtze River cruise’s schedule is subject to change due to the close of the Three Gorges ship lock)

Morning arrival at Chenlingji. Shore excursion shows ancient Yueyang Tower overlooking scenic Dongting Lake.

San Dou Ping to Xiling Gorge/Wu Gorge /Wushan
Stop at San Dou Ping to see the Three Gorges Dam Project, the largest hydroelectric project in the world. Sail through Xiling Gorge, longest of the famed Three Gorges. Then marvel at Wu Gorge's deep zigzagging valley.
Day 7/Nov 22/Friday YANGTZE RIVER CRUISE: AB, L, D
Three Small Gorges or Shennong Stream/ Qutang Gorge
Transfer to a motorboat for an excursion on either Daning River or Shennong Stream to
view their breathtaking small gorges. Reboard the ship and pass through the dramatic
grandeur of Qutang Gorge, framed by steep mossy cliffs.

A shore excursion today at legend-rich Fengdu or Wanxian.
Day 9/Nov 24/Sunday YANGTZE CRUISE/CHONGQING: AB,L,SD
Morning cruise through now - gentle countryside to Chongqing. On arrival, you will be
met and transfer to your hotel, today's Chongqing city tour includes a visit to the Zoo
where you can see the Giant Pandas. Enjoy the regional Hotpot Dinner tonight. Check
into deluxe Harbor Plaza Hotel.
Day 10/Nov 25/Monday CHONGQING AB, L
Jill, Dave, Ed, Chris, Suzanne will take the optional hiking/nature tour in Northern Hot Springs Park (Bei Wenquan Gongyuan) area, 55 km north-east of the city, overlooking the Jialing River, the Bei Wenquan (Northern Hot Springs) are in a large park that is the site of a 5th century Buddhist temple. The springs have an Olympic-size swimming pool where you can bathe to an audience. There are also private rooms with big hot baths. Water temperature averages around 32C (89.6F). Swimsuits in red that symbolizes happiness can be rent here.

Day 11/Nov 26/Tuesday CHONGQING TO BEIJING AB
Fly Chongqing to Beijing via HU 715 (11:25am /1:40pm), transfer to New World Courtyard Hotel.
Day 12/Nov 27/Wednesday BEIJING AB, L
Full day escorted excursion to Lhasa Temple (Tibetan Monastery) and the Great Wall, rarely-visited Mutianyu section.
Day 13/Nov 28/Thursday BEIJING AB, SD
Jill, Dave, Ed, Chris, Suzanne & Todd will take the optional hiking tour to Huanghuaguan section, one hour and half drive from Beijing.
The rest of people will be free at leisure.

All day free to explore on your own.
Day 15/Nov 30/Saturday BEIJING TO SFO AB
After breakfast in the hotel, transfer to airport for your return flight.
Fly Beijing to Tokyo via NW86 (8:55am/1:10pm), connect NW28 (3:25pm/7:20am). Arrive home the same day.
