Day 1 • Depart San Francisco for Beijing

On arrival, you will be escorted to your hotel.

Day 3 • Beijing |
|
Visit Tiananmen Square and the Imperial Palace in the Forbidden
City, including the jewelry section. This afternoon, a fun-filled
pedicab ride takes you through the Hutong district's ancient narrow
streets to enjoy a close-up look at the heritage of this exciting
city, including a visit with a local family. Then make a stop at
the Drum Tower (Gu Lou) for a panoramic view of the city. Tonight,
your welcome dinner party at the hotel features cocktails before
the Peking Duck dinner.

Day 4 • Beijing |
|
Walk along the Great Wall today and then visit a cloisonné factory.
Later, stroll along the Sacred Way to the Ming Tombs and Chang Ling
Exhibition Hall. Dinner at the hotel.

Day 5 • Beijing /Shanghai |
|
Late morning flight to Shanghai. Check into your Five-Star hotel,

|
Sightseeing highlights: the Shanghai Museum, including handheld
recorder pointing out the special features of the museum's

carpet factory, The Yu Garden, The Bund and the Children's Palace.
Enjoy a dim sum lunch. Tonight, after dinner, attend a performance
of the renowned Shanghai acrobats.

Day 7 • Shanghai/Xi'an |
|
The morning is at leisure. Afternoon, fly to historic Xi'an, then
enjoy a buffet dinner at your hotel.

Day 8 • Xi'an |
|
Visit the famed life-sized terra-cotta legion of warriors, buried
with the emperor for over 2,200 years, Circle Vision Movie and the
Bronze Chariot. Enjoy a dumpling lunch at the renowned Defachang
Restaurant. Later, visit the Shaanxi Provincial Historical Museum
with our exclusive visit to the private artifact room where you may
handle some of the national treasures from the museum's collection.
Tonight, from your front section seats enjoy an entertaining dinner
and show at the Tang Dynasty Theatre.

|
This morning visit the exquisitely constructed Wild Goose Pagoda.
Then in the afternoon fly to Guilin, set in the heart of a

|
A
deluxe cruise on an air-conditioned boat along the Li River reveals
the haunting beauty of Guilin's mist-wrapped peaks en route to
