Day 1/Friday                USA to Beijing

Fly your hometown to Beijing via our selected airline flights

 Day 2/Saturday            Arrive Beijing

Arrive Beijing, the capital of China, where the 2008 Olympic Games will be held, is the nation’s political, scientific, cultural and foreign exchange center, one of the six ancient cities of China, as well as a world-renowned historical, cultural and educational city. It has not only countless ancient palaces, imperial gardens, altars, temples, tombs and other historical and cultural sites, but also many picturesque natural scenic spots. Beijing has been well known in the world for its numerous historical sites, elegant gardens and beautiful landscape. Upon arrival, our friendly guide will meet and transfer you to Chang An Grand Hotel (5 Star deluxe).

Day 3/Sunday              Beijing (B, L, D)

Full day escorted city tour includes Tiananmen Square, the largest square in the world,

where the five-star red flag is raised at dawn, and lowered at sunset everyday; the Ancient

Forbidden City, the larges and best preserved palace in the world; the beautiful Summer Palace,

one of the most classical gardens in the world.  

Day 4/Monday              Beijing (B, L, D)

Full day escorted excursion to the Badaling Great Wall, drive through the Sacred Way to visit the Changling Exhibition of the Ming Tombs with lunch and dinner

Day 5/Tuesday             Beijing (B, L, SD)

Morning visit the Temple of Heaven where the Emperors worshipped to see local people doing Taiji and morning exercises. Afternoon visit Beijing’s Hutongs – traditional Chinese courtyards dating from 700 years ago, enjoy Peking Duck dinner and cultural show tonight.

Day 6/Wednesday        Beijing to Xi’an (B, L, D)

Take a morning flight to Xi’an, a world-renowned ancient capital of 13 Dynasties, which is the starting point of the ancient Silk Road.  Its long-standing history and colorful culture have left over numerous brilliant historical sites and precious cultural relics. An afternoon city tour includes the Big Wild Goose Pagoda dating from the Tang Dynasty, 1352 years ago, and also visit the Sha’anxi Provincial Historical Museum, the greatest finds of the century. Check into Xian Aurum International Hotel (4 star deluxe).

Day 7/Thursday            Xi’an (B, L, D)

Full day sightseeing includes the Excavations of Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses, one of the greatest archaeological finds of the century, the extraordinary life –sized terra-cotta warriors were buried with the first emperor for over 2200 years. Enjoy a dumpling dinner and Tang Dynasty Music Show tonight.

Day 8/Friday                Xi’an to Chongqing/Cruise (B, L, D)

Take a morning flight to Chongqing, the mostly hilly city in China, upon arrival, visit the Stillwell Museum where you'll see an intriguing collection of World War II memorabilia of the famed Flying Tigers, the Painters’ Village-the famous air gallery if time permits.

After dinner, board MV. Paradise cruise ship for pre-sailing overnight.

Day 9/Saturday            Yangtze River Cruise – Fengdu (B, L, D)

Today you begin your downstream cruise. Arrive at Fengdu, the legendary Ghost Town. You will visit the Mingshan Hill’s temples. Continue to sail to Badong.  

Day 10/Sunday             Yangtze River Cruise – Shennong Stream (B, L, D)

The cruise will sail through the most magnificent Qutang Gorge, the first of the Three Gorges. Then you will be transferred to a small sampan for an excursion along the Shengnong Stream to view the Parrot Gorge and Dragon Boat Gorge. Return to the cruise and you will pass the Wu Gorge and Xiling Gorge. 

Day 11/Monday            Yangtze River Cruise/Yichang to Shanghai (B, L)

You will be taken on a bus to cross the Three Gorges Bridges to see this controversial project up in the close. The project includes the five-step ship lock, the diversion canal, power station and dam construction. Arrive at Yichang at 1:30pm, transfer to airport and fly to Shanghai, check into Galaxy Hotel (4 star deluxe).

Day 12/Tuesday            Shanghai (B, L, D)

Full day city tour includes The Bund (Waterfront), Yu Garden in the Old Town and the Jade Buddha Temple, also visit Shanghai Carpet Factory. This evening, after dinner, attend an amazing Shanghai acrobatic show.

Day 13/Wednesday      Shanghai to Zhujiajiao to Shanghai (B, L, D)

Morning excursion to Zhujiajiao, a beautifully preserved riverside village, known as the new Venice of China, lunch at a local restaurant, afternoon visit the Shanghai Museum, the architectural master piece.

Day 14  /Thursday         Shanghai to USA (B)

Departure transfer to the airport for homeward flight. Your flight will bring you back home the very same day.
