Arrive Shanghai, the
bustling cosmopolitan center of business and commerce of China. Upon
arrival, our friendly will meet you and transfer you to Galaxy Hotel or
similar (4 star deluxe).
Day 3/Thursday

Full day city tour
includes The Bund (Waterfront), Yu Garden in the Old Town and the Jade
Buddha Temple, also visit Shanghai Carpet Factory. Also visit the TV
Tower – the Pearl of the Orient for a bird’s view of Shanghai. This
evening, after dinner, attend an amazing Shanghai Acrobatic Show.

Morning excursion to
Zhujiajiao, a beautifully preserved riverside village, known as the new
Venice of China, lunch at a local restaurant, afternoon visit the
Shanghai Museum, the architectural master piece.

Fly to Yichang, embark
the 4 Star Boat MV President No 3-Splendid China of CITS Presidential
Cruises, Overnight on board.
Day 6/Sunday
Yangtze River
Cruise/Three Gorges Dam Project (B, L, D)
Set sail at 8 a.m.
Stop at San Dou Ping to see the amazing progress at the Three Gorges
Dam Project. Sail through the dramatic Three Gorges Ship lock before
continuing through Xiling Gorge, longest of the famed Three Gorges.

At Badong, transfer to
small river craft on the narrow Shennong Stream to explore the Parrot
and Dragon Boat Gorges. Continuing upstream, pass through the scenic Wu
Gorges and the most magnificent Qutang Gorge.

A shore excursion
at Shibaozhai shows its scenic 12-story wooden pagoda.
Day 9/Wednesday Arrival
Chongqing to
Xi’an (B, L)
Disembark in Chongqing at 9:00am. Visit the Stillwell Museum where
you'll see an intriguing collection of World War II memorabilia of the
famed Flying Tigers, the Painters’ Village-the famous air gallery if
time permits. Then Fly to Xi'an,
a world-renowned
ancient capital of 13 Dynasties, which is the starting point of the
ancient Silk Road. Its long-standing history and colorful culture have
left over numerous brilliant historical sites and precious cultural

Full day sightseeing
includes the Excavations of Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses, one of the
greatest archaeological finds of the century, the extraordinary life
–sized terra-cotta warriors were buried with the first emperor for over
2200 years. Also visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Enjoy a Dumpling
dinner and Tang Dynasty Music Show tonight.

Fly to Beijing, the capital of China, the capital of China, where the
2008 Olympic Games will be held, is the nation’s political, scientific,
cultural and foreign exchange center, one of the six ancient cities of
China, as well as a world-renowned historical, cultural and educational
city. It has not only countless ancient palaces, imperial gardens,
altars, temples, tombs and other historical and cultural sites, but
also many picturesque natural scenic spots. Beijing has been well known
in the world for its numerous historical sites, elegant gardens and
beautiful landscape. Upon arrival, visit the beautiful Summer Palace,
check into Chang An Grand Hotel (5 Star deluxe).

Today your tour starts
with the visit to the
Temple of
Heaven
where the emperors of the Ming and
Qing dynasties
worshipped, watch the local people doing Taiji and morning exercises,
then visit

Tiananmen Square, and the ancient Forbidden City.
Day 13/Sunday

Full day escorted excursion to the Badaling Great Wall, walk through
the Sacred Way to visit the Changling Exhibition Hall of the Ming
Tombs, altogether 13 emperors of the Ming Dynasty were buried here. Of
them, Changling Mausoleum is well known for its grand architecture.
Enjoy Peking Duck Farewell Dinner with Cultural Show tonight.
