Tour Itinerary:
Day 1 SFO to SHANGHAI
Fly IAH to SFO via UA397 ( 7:45am / 9:51am), fly SFO to Shanghai via UA857 departing at 2:15pm
Day 2 ARRIVE SHANGHAI
Arrive Shanghai at 5:55pm, upon arrival, transfer to Shanghai Classic Hotel (located near Yu Yuan Garden in the Old Town).
Day 3 SHANGHAI B, L
Full day tour of the metropolitan Shanghai , visit Yu Yuan Garden, the Bund (Waterfront), the bustling Nanjing Road. Also visit the TV Tower he Pearl of the Orient, Nanpu Bridge, the cruise on Pujiang River and Pudong new area. Return to hotel at around 6:00pm .
Day 4 SHANGHAI to YICHANG* B, D
Morning is free. Transfer to airport and fly to Yichang via FM365 (13:25/15:05) . Then, board a Victoria cruise ship and begin your cruise upstream.
Day 5 YANGTZE RIVER CRUISE: SAN DOU PING to XILING GORGE B, L, D
Stop at San Dou Ping to see the Three Gorges Dam Project. Re-board the ship and sail through the dramatic Three Gorges Shiplock before continuing through Xiling Gorge, longest of the famed Three Gorges.
Day 6 YANGTZE RIVER CRUISE: WU GORGE/ SMALL GORGES or SHENNONG STREAM/QUTANG GORGE B, L, D
Early this morning, marvel at Wu Gorge's deep zigzagging valley. At Wushan, take an excursion up the Daning River's splendid Small Gorges-Dragon Gate, Misty or Emerald. Depending on the water level of the Yangtze River, your excursion may be on Shennong Stream with its equally spectacular small gorges. Depart Wushan, passing through dramatic Qutang Gorge, walled with mossy cliffs that crowd the sky.

Day 7 YANGTZE RIVER CRUISE: SHIBAOZHAI** B, L, D
A shore excursion at scenic Shibaozhai shows its 12-story wooden pagoda. Over 400 years old, this magnificent pagoda is known as the "Pearl of the Yangtze." MEALS: American Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Alternate shore excursion may visit Fengdu or Wanzhou.
Day 8 YANGTZE RIVER CRUISE: CHONGQING to CHENGDU B, D
Disembark in Chongqing . Take a bus to Chengdu, transfer to Yinhe Dynasty Hotel (4 star, centrally located).
Day 9 CHENGDU to LHASA B, L
Fly to Lhasa via CA4403 (7:50am/9:40am), upon arrival, meet and drive through the Tibetan villages, lunch in a local restaurant, check into Lhasa Hotel (the best in town).
Day 10 LHASA B, L, D
Today excursion features the renovated Potala Palace, which rises majestically from the face of sacred Putuo Hill, the Norbulingka Palace, which was the Summer Palace of Tibetan Kings, and the Sera Monastery.
Day 11 LHASA B, L, D
Today sightseeing begins with the 7 th century Jokhang Monastery, one of the holiest shrines in Tibet, then continue on the cliff top Drepung Monastery. In the afternoon, visit a Tibetan clinic and famous Eight-Corner Street to get a glimpse of daily Tibetan life.
Day 12 LHASA to CHENGDU to HONG KONG B
After breakfast in the hotel, transfer to airport for your flight to Chengdu via CA4402 (10:30am/12:10pm), connect KA821 to Hong Kong (2:10PM/4:40PM). Check into Miramar Hotel for 3 nights

Day 15 HONG KONG to SFO to IAH
Fly Hong Kong to SFO via UA 862 (11:30am/9:00am), connect UA 562 to IAH (10:58am/4:44pm).
