Itinerary:

 

Day 1 (Friday) USA to Beijing

Fly from your home city to Beijing

 

Day 2 (Saturday) Arrive Beijing

Arrive Beijing , the capital of China . Upon arrival, our friendly guide will meet you and transfer you to Chang An Grand Hotel or similar class hotel.

 

Day 3 (Sunday) Beijing

Take a morning tour of the Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City . After lunch, visit the

elegant Summer Palace with a boat cruise on the shimmering waters of Kunming Lake . Also visit

the Panda House at the Beijing Zoo.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

 

Day 4 (Monday) Beijing

This morning take a tour of the exterior of the Bird Nest & the Water Cube for photography. Drive to the Great Wall at Badaling, and onto the Sacred Way to visit the Ming Dynasty's Imperial Tomb. If time permits, we'll visit a Jade Carving Factory. Enjoy a cultural show tonight.

Day 5 (Tuesday) Beijing

Morning tour to another renowned imperial site ¨Cthe Temple of Heaven . Then visit the Beijing City Planning Museum and watch a 3D film which shows the glory, history and the development of Beijing . In the a fternoon, take the old¨Cfashioned Pedicab tour to the historical Hutong area. Visit a Pearl workshop if time permits. Enjoy a Peking Duck Dinner tonight.

Day 6 (Wednesday) Beijing/Xian

Take a late morning flight to Xian and check into Aurum International Hotel or similar class hotel. An afternoon city tour includes the Big Wild Goose Pagoda dating from the Tang Dynasty 1352 years ago. Also visit the Sha'anxi Provincial Historical Museum, which shows Chinese Archeological excavations, with numerous collections and treasures on display.

Day 7 (Thursday) Xian

Full day sightseeing includes the Excavations of Terra-cotta Warriors & Bronze Chariots, one of the greatest archeological finds of the century. See all excavated Exhibitions 1, 2 ,3, 4 and watch the archaeologists work on further excavation. Watch the Circle Vision Movie of this historical story. Also visit the Ceramics & Pottery Center . Tonight taste Dumpling Dinner & enjoy Tang Dynasty Music Show.

Day 8 (Friday) Xian / Yichang

Transfer to airport for your flight to Yichang. Board the deluxe cruise ship MV Presidential 1.

Yangtze River is the third longest river in the world and the largest in China . The isolated small villages, local temples and pagodas, and historical sites along the river bring unimaginable history and legends. The River and Three Gorges are rewarded as UNESCO sites.

Day 9 (Saturday) Yangtze River Cruise

Today's highlight is the excursion to the New Dam Site. Sail through the picturesque Xiling Gorge, the Three Gorges Dam and the 5 ship locks raising the ship 412 feet.

Day 10 (Sunday) Yangtze River Cruise

Change to a small boat for sailing deep into the fabled Three Lesser Gorges along Shennong Stream for a 3-hour exploration. After returning to the boat, continue sailing to the Wu Gorge. The waters changes to wildly stirring, along with numerous swirling bubbles. The mossy cliffs are hemmed by the hanging pathways under the Twelve Peaks . Pass through the great Qutang Gorge later in the afternoon.

Day 11 (Monday) Yangtze River Cruise

Continue sailing in the gorges & take an excursion to the Ghost City of Fengdu or Shibaozai.

Fengdu reveals ancient Chinese religion, ancient legends, with unimaginable constructions and carved ghost statues.

Day 12 (Tuesday) Chongqing & Dazu Stone Carving

Disembark at Chongqing & take a full day excursion to Dazu - the home of the most fascinating grottos. Check into Harbor Plaza or similar class hotel. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

 

Day 13 (Wednesday) Chongqing / Guilin

Today's Chongqing city tour includes the Great Hall of People and General Stillwell Museum.

Transfer to airport and fly Guilin , the most scenic city in China . No scenery in the world could be ranked in parallel with Guilin for its magnificent natural landscape. Upon arrival, transfer to Park Hotel or similar class hotel.

Day 14 (Thursday) Guilin

Embark on a gorgeous cruise on the Li River. Experience the magical beauty of limestone formations and farmland commonly seen in Chinese landscape paintings. At Yangshuo, browse at the free market, then drive back to Guilin through the picturesque countryside. V isit the art gallery and take a walk along the Old Rocky Lake , Banyan Lake , and Cedar Lake just in fron of the hotel.

Day 15 (Friday) Guilin / Shanghai by air

Transfer to airport and fly to Shanghai , the bustling cosmopolitan center of business and commerce in China . Check-into Shanghai Galaxy Hotel or similar class hotel. Take an afternoon tour to the Bund - the window of Shanghai history and modern fast changes. Visit Xintiandi, a very well-known boutique area, where you will find fashion, tradition, fun and elegance.

Day 16 (Saturday) Shanghai

This morning, visit the Old Downtown and the classical Yu Garden. Then visit the Shanghai Museum . The attractions include enormous fine stone sculptures, bronze-ware, porcelain, calligraphic works, Chinese paintings and ancient furniture. After the Museum visit, take a stroll to the Peoples Square , where you will find the best collection of modern architecture. If time permits, visit the Carpet Factory. Enjoy the famous Shanghai Acrobatic Show tonight.

Day 17 (Sunday) Shanghai

Today's highlight is a visit to the Shanghai World EXPO. It covers a large area of over 5.6 Square KM with 27 master halls. The theme is to show all new creational hopes, concepts, designs, technologies, and present to the world a full potential of urban life in the 21st century as a significant one for urban evolution with New Approaches of Human Habitat, Beautiful Lifestyle. (Shanghai EXPO is valid for May 01 ¨C Oct.31, but on Feb.01-Apr.29, Nov.01-Dec31 pre & post exhibition might also available ). If Shanghai EXPO is not available, visit the ancient water-town of Zhujiajiao & Jade Buddha Temple .

Day18 (Monday) Depart Shanghai
