Itinerary:

Day 1 (Thursday) USA to Shanghai

Fly to Shanghai via our selected airline flights

 

Day 2 (Friday) Arrive Shanghai

Arrive Shanghai , the bustling cosmopolitan center of business and commerce in China . Upon arrival, our friendly guide will meet you and transfer you to Galaxy Hotel or similar class hotel.

 

Day 3 (Saturday) Shanghai

This morning, visit the Old Downtown and the classical Yu Garden. Then visit the Shanghai Museum . The attractions include enormous fine stone sculptures, bronze-ware, porcelain, calligraphic works, Chinese paintings and ancient furniture. After the Museum visit, take a stroll to the Peoples Square , where you will find the best collection of modern architecture. If time permits, visit the Carpet Factory. Enjoy the famous Shanghai Acrobatic Show tonight.

Day 4 (Sunday) Shanghai / Zhengzhou

Morning sightseeing in Shanghai includes the Jade Buddha Temple and Nanjing Road . Transfer to airport and fly to Zhengzhou . Visit the Henan Provincial Museum to see the impressive collections of the early civilizations of the Shang and Zhou Dynasties. This evening, enjoy a welcome dinner (local cuisine). Check into Xinya Hot Spring Hotel or similar class hotel.

Day 5 (Monday) Zhengzhou / Shaolin Temple / Luoyang

This morning, drive 80 km to Shaolin Temple , one of the cradles of Chinese martial arts. Enjoy the martial arts performance and tour of the temple and the Pagoda Forest . After a vegetarian lunch, drive 15 km to the town of Gaocheng and visit the Guanxing Tai Observatory ¨C China 's oldest surviving observatory. Drive to Luoyang and check into Huayang International Hotel or similar class hotel.

Day 6 (Tuesday) Luoyang

Take an excursion to Longmen Grottos, then tour the remarkable White Horse Temple ¨C the 1st Buddhist temple built in China 79AD. If time permits, visit the Luoyang Museum of Ancient Tombs.

Day 7 (Wednesday) Luoyang / Xian

Take a later morning Train Express (soft seats) to Xian (5 hours). Upon arrival our guide will meet you and transfer you to Aurum International Hotel. Afternoon sightseeing includes a tour of the Provincial Museum .

Day 8 (Thursday) Xian

Full day sightseeing includes the Excavations of Terra-cotta Warriors & Bronze Chariots, one of the greatest archeological finds of the century. See all excavated Exhibitions 1, 2 ,3, 4 and watch the archaeologists work on further excavation. Watch the Circle Vision Movie of this historical story. Also visit the Ceramics & Pottery Center . Also visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Tonight taste Dumpling Dinner & enjoy Tang Dynasty Music Show.

Day 9 (Friday) Xian/Beijing

Transfer to airport and fly to Beijing . Take an afternoon tour of the elegant Summer Palace with a boat cruise on the shimmering waters of Kunming Lake . Enjoy a cultural performance tonight. Check into Chang An Grand Hotel or similar class hotel.

Day 10 (Saturday) Beijing

Full day tour to the Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, Panda House at the Beijing Zoo and the Temple of Heaven . Visit a pearl workshop, if time permits.

Day 11 (Sunday) Beijing

Morning tour to the exterior of the Bird Nest & the Water Cube for photography. Drive to the Great Wall Badaling and the Sacred Way to visit the Changling Exhibition of the Ming Tombs. If time permits, visit a Jade Carving Factory. Enjoy a Peking Duck Dinner tonight.

Day 12 (Monday) Depart Beijing

Transfer to airport for homeward flight or your next destination.
