Itinerary:

Day 1 (Friday) USA to Beijing

Fly from your hometown to Beijing , China

 

Day 2 (Saturday) Arrive Beijing

Arrive Beijing , the capital of China . Upon arrival, our friendly guide will meet you and transfer you to Chang An Grand Hotel or similar class hotel.

Day 3 (Sunday) Beijing

Take a morning tour of the Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City . Continue to the elegant Summer Palace with a boat cruise on the shimmering waters of Kunming Lake . Also visit the Panda House at the Beijing Zoo.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

 

Day 4 (Monday) Beijing

Take a tour to the exterior of the Bird's Nest & the Water Cube for photography. Drive to the Great Wall in Badaling and the Sacred Way to visit the Changling exhibition of the Ming Tombs. If time permits, visit a Jade Carving Factory. Enjoy a cultural show tonight.

Day 5 (Tuesday) Beijing

This morning, visit another renowned imperial site ¨Cthe Temple of Heaven . Then, visit the Beijing City Planning Museum and watch a 3D film which shows the glory, history and the development of Beijing . In the a fternoon, take the old¨Cfashioned Pedicab to tour the historical Hutong area. If time permits, visit a Pearl Workshop. Enjoy Peking Duck Dinner tonight.

Day 6 (Wednesday) Beijing/Xian

Take morning flight to Xian, the starting point of the ancient Silk Road . Its long standing history and colorful culture have left over numerous brilliant historical sites and precious cultural relics. Afternoon city tour includes the Big Wild Goose Pagoda dating from the Tang Dynasty 1352 years ago. Also visit the Sha'anxi Provincial Historical Museum, the greatest finds of the century. Check into Aurum International Hotel or similar class hotel.

Day 7 (Thursday) Xian

Full day sightseeing includes the Excavations of Terra-cotta Warriors & Bronze Chariots, one of the greatest archeological finds of the century. See all excavated Exhibitions 1, 2 ,3, 4 and watch the archaeologists work on further excavation. Watch the Circle Vision Movie of this historical story. Also visit the Ceramics & Pottery Center . Tonight taste Dumpling Dinner & enjoy Tang Dynasty Music Show.

Day 8 (Friday) Xian/Chongqing , Yangtze River Cruise

Fly to Chongqing & take a brief city tour if time permits. Board MV. Paradise (CITS Presidential Cruises No. 6) before 8 p.m. and set sailing at mid-night. Presidential Cruises are superior & luxury boats are specially designed for foreign visitors. It has provided excellent service for over 18 years. Enjoy talent shows and entertainment on board.

Day 9 (Saturday) Yangtze River Cruise

Start sailing for a distance of about 430 miles in all the great gorges and the deep mountain valleys. In the afternoon take a shore excursion to explore the ghost city of Fengdu .

Day 10 (Sunday) Yangtze River Cruise

Continue sailing into Qutang Gorge and Wu Gorge. After reaching the famed Shennong Stream, change to a small boat and sail deep into the Lesser Three Gorges t. Continue sail into Xiling Gorge and onto the 5 ship locks.

Day 11 (Monday) Yangtze River Cruise/Yichang/Shanghai

Morning excursion to the New Dam site. Disembark at Yichang and fly to Shanghai . Upon arrival, our friendly guide will meet you and transfer you to Shanghai Galaxy Hotel or similar class hotel.

Day12 (Tuesday) Shanghai

This morning visit the Old Downtown and the classical Yu Garden. After lunch, visit the Shanghai Museum . The attractions include enormous and the finest stone sculptures, bronze-ware, porcelain, calligraphic works, Chinese paintings and ancient furniture. If time permits, visit the Carpet Factory. Enjoy the famous Shanghai Acrobatic Show tonight.

Day 13 (Wednesday) Shanghai

Today's highlight is a visit to the Shanghai World EXPO. It covers a large area of over 5.6 Square KM with 27 master halls. The theme is to show all new creational hopes, concepts, designs, technologies, and present to the world a full potential of urban life in the 21st century as a significant one for urban evolution with New Approaches of Human Habitat and Beautiful Lifestyle. (Shanghai EXPO is valid for May 01 ¨C Oct.31, but on Feb.01-Apr.29, Nov.01-Dec31 pre & post exhibitions might be available for visit ). If Shanghai EXPO is not available, visit the ancient water-town of Zhujiajiao & the Jade Buddha Temple .

Day14 (Thursday) Shanghai to USA

Transfer to airport for your homeward flight.
