Day 1 Depart San Francisco for Beijing
Fly transpacific aboard United Airlines.

Day 2 Arrive Beijing
Upon arrival, you are met and escorted to the hotel.

Day 3 Beijing

Today's tour introduces Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City's Imperial Palace, with admission to the living quarters, museum and jewelry sections. After lunch, sightseeing at the Summer Palace with a cruise on Lake Kunming (weather permitting).

Day 4 Beijing

A highlight of your visit to China today: the awesome Great Wall. After lunch, watch skilled artisans at work at a cloisonn¨¦ factory. Then walk along the Sacred Way to the Ming Tombs and Chang Ling Exhibition Hall.

Day 5 Beijing/Xi'an

Morning at leisure in Beijing. Then fly to historic Xi'an, ancient capital of China.

Day 6 Xi'an

View the extraordinary life-sized terra-cotta army, no two alike, buried for over 2200 years; Circle Vision Movie; Bronze Chariot and the collections at Shaanxi Provincial Historical Museum.

Day 7 Xi'an/Nanjing

This morning, fly to Nanjing. Then a sightseeing tour shows Dr. Sun Yat-sen's Mausoleum, the Former Presidential Palace and Yue Jiang Lou Tower.

Day 8 Nanjing/Yangzhou/Nanjing

A scenic drive takes you to lovely Yangzhou. Tour beautiful Slender West Lake, Ge Garden, He Garden and the Marco Polo Museum before returning to Nanjing to overnight.

Day 9 Nanjing/Suzhou*

Today, motor coach to Suzhou, noted for its ancient gardens. Sightseeing includes North Temple Pagoda, Pan Men City Gate and the Embroidery Research Institute.

Day 10 Suzhou/Hangzhou*

This morning, visit Suzhou's most famous garden, The Master of Fishing Nets Garden, 5400 square meters of beauty. Later drive to Hangzhou.

Day 11 Hangzhou

Sightseeing in scenic Hangzhou includes a boat ride on lovely West Lake and Inner West Lake, Hua Gang Park, Huqingyu Pharmacy which dates back to the Qing Dynasty and was founded by the Hu Family, Ling Yin Monastery and a visit to the Tea Production Brigade.

Day 12 Hangzhou/Shanghai*

Today travel from Hangzhou to Shanghai, China's center of commerce. Then visit Huai Hai or Nanjing Road's emporiums and the European-style Bund.
