Then tour the exquisite Summer Palace with its ornate architecture and enjoy a boat ride on Lake Kunming (weather permitting). Tonight, you are invited to a delicious Peking Duck dinner party. Renaissance Beijing Hotel MEALS: American Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Party Day 4 Beijing Today, walk on the ancient ramparts of the astonishing Great Wall. Then visit a cloisonn¨¦ factory and see artisans at work. Later, stroll along the Sacred Way, guarded by statues, to the Ming Tombs and Chang Ling Exhibition Hall. MEALS: American Breakfast, Lunch Day 5 Beijing/Xi'an Morning at leisure before flying to historic Xi'an. Visit the Stilwell Museum and view World War II memorabilia before boarding your cruise ship to begin your memorable cruise on the Yangtze River. Victoria Cruises' ship MEALS: American Breakfast, Dinner Day 8 Yangtze River Cruise: Shibaozhai* Known as the ¡°Pearl of the Yangtze,¡± visit the magnificent 12-story wooden pagoda at scenic Shibaozhai today. MEALS: American Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner *Alternate shore excursion may visit Fengdu or Wanzhou. Day 9 Yangtze River Cruise: Qutang Gorge/Wu Gorge/Daning River Small Gorges or Shennong Stream/Xiling Gorge Cruise through the first of the fabled Three Gorges: Qutang Gorge hemmed by towering cliffs and sail on through Wu Gorge, known for its lofty Twelve Peaks. At Wushan, cruise up the Daning River via cruiser to view the famous Small Gorges. Continue by sampan to the picturesque mini-gorges of the Ma Du River with its clear, swift running water, unusual rock formations, and monkeys and goats along the banks. Alternatively, your excursion may be on Shennong Stream with its dramatic gorges. Pass through the last and most scenic of the major gorges, Xiling Gorge and then through the Three Gorges ship lock. MEALS: American Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner Day 10 Yangtze River Cruise: Xiling Gorge/San Dou Ping/Yichang to Shanghai* At San Dou Ping, see the amazing Three Gorges Dam, the world's largest hydroelectric project. Continue on to Yichang where you board your flight to Shanghai, China's center of commerce. Hua Ting Hotel & Towers MEALS: American Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner *If direct flight is not available, travel by motor coach to Wuhan and fly to Shanghai. Day 11 Shanghai Enjoy Shanghai's famous shopping on Nanjing or Huai Hai Road. Then see the rich collections at the Shanghai Museum, Yu Garden, a carpet factory, The Bund and a performance at the Children's Palace. This evening, enjoy an astonishing acrobatic show. Day 13 Hangzhou Take a boat ride on lovely Inner West Lake, visit Hua Gang Park and Huqingyu Pharmacy, a Tang museum of Chinese medicine. Fly to Guilin. Sightseeing includes Reed Flute Cave and Fu Bo Hill's dramatic rock formations.
