Day 1 (Saturday) USA to Beijing

Fly to Beijing via our selected airline flights

 

Day 2 (Sunday) Arrive Beijing

Arrive Beijing , the capital of China . Upon arrival, our friendly guide will meet you and transfer you to Regent Wangfuging Hotel or similar class hotel.

 

Day 3 (Monday) Beijing

Morning tour to the Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City . Continue to visit the elegant Summer Palace with a boat cruise on the shimmering waters of Kunming Lake . Enjoy a Peking Duck Dinner tonight.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Special Dinner

 

Day 4 (Tuesday) Beijing

Morning tour to the exterior of the Bird Nest & the Water Cube for photography. Drive to the Great Wall Badaling and the Sacred Way to visit the Changling Exhibition of the Ming Tombs. If time permits, visit a Cloissone Factory. Enjoy a Peking Opera or cultural show tonight.

Day 5 (Wednesday) Beijing / Nanjing

This morning, visit another renowned imperial site ¨Cthe Temple of Heaven , which includes a visit to the Imperial Hall of Prayer, the Imperial Vault, and the Imperial Circular Mound Altar. Also see local people doing Taiji exercises.

Then fly to Nanjing , the capital of 6 dynasties in the history of China . Afternoon sightseeing includes the Ancient Tower of Yuejiang Tower and the Zhenghe Temple . Also visit the Chinese Navigation Explorer Temple to discover some unexplored history. The well-preserved Ancient Military City Wall and China Gate is another great value for exploration of ancient military strategies and techniques, The Presidential Palace of Chiang Kaishek also is a necessary visit. Tonight's highlight is a one hour cruise along the Qinghuai River which brings you back to the imperial lavish and Arcadian lifestyle. Check into Sheraton Hotel or similar class hotel.

Day 6 (Thursday) Nanjing / Zhenjiang / Yangzhou

Today, visit the best stone sculptures at the Nanjing Museum .. Tehn take a one hour bus to Zhenjiang , the ancient imperial harbor. Visit the legendary Golden Mount Temple on the Yangtze River , and after lunch proceed to the ancient marina. Cross the second longest highway bridge on the Yangtze River by a 40-minute drive to Yangzhou . This afternoon's sightseeing includes the old city At East Gate along the Grand Canal and the Geyuan Garden . Enjoy a night cruise along the illuminated Grand Canal . Check into Yanzhou State Guest House or similar class hotel.

Day 7 (Friday) Yangzhou

This morning, visit the Slender West Lake and its many surrounding gardens. S everal historical attractions are the Lotus Flower Pagoda, Small Gold Mountain , the Fishing Platform, the Five Pavilions Bridge , the Streams & Clouds House, Quiet Garden , Moon Introduce Tower , Longevity Celebration Tower , and the Twenty Four Bridge and many ancient gardens. In the afternoon, visit Daming Temple , Xisha Pagoda & Pingshan Tower . Then proceed to the Marco Polo Museum for a historical exploration. If time permits, visit the Arts and Craft Institution and some other resident gardens. At night, explore the modern nightlife on your own. Highly recommended is the Old Beer Factory, where you are guaranteed to meet new friends.

Day 8 (Saturday) Yangzhou / Nantong

Take a morning drive to the Yangtze River Water Control System and visit the terminal of South-North Water Diversion, one of another biggest national construction project in these 10 years. Then drive to visit Shuihui Garden in Rugao County to explore the old green covered alleys and houses. Rugao is another old city with best reserved ancient features. The odd lifestyle boasts of the largest number of people (over 200) exceeding 100 years old. It also boasts of the best technique of Bonsai designing, Continue drive to Nantong at the hinterland of the Yangtze Delta. In the afternoon, visit the textile museum, museum of abacus, Museum of Natong and Zhangjian House or the Mid School. Tonight, take a one hour cruise along the Haohe River . Check into Yunfeng Garden Hotel or similar class hotel.

Day 9 (Sunday) Nantong / Suzhou

Continue to explore Nantong , then take a one hour bus ride and cross a 30 kilometer long highway bridge to Suzhou . Today the highlights in Suzhou are the Fishman Net Master Garden (UNESCO Site), and then the ¡°Three Attractions at Panmen¡±. It is composed of the Ancient City Gate as the waterway lock on the Grand Canal, the ancient pavilion style Ruiguang Pagoda, and the Archway Wumen Stone Bridge. Then visit the Silk Reeling Factory, to see the traditional silk exhibition & production. Check into Wu Palace Sheraton Hotel or similar class hotel.

Day 10 (Monday) Suzhou

Visit the Humble Administrator's Garden and then stroll along Mount & Pond Old Streets. Then take a canal cruise along to ancient alleys to picturesque Hanshan Temple . In the afternoon, visit the Singapore New District & the Golden Roost Lake to Yuanrong Market-a modern plaza with hundreds of stores decorated with Chinese classical architecture. Also visit Li Gong Causeway across the lake with classical pavilions, towers, rockets, archways and rainbow style stone bridges and traditional gardens. Tonight we recommend you to stroll along Ligong Causeway and relax while at clubs, bars and restaurants or wondering around at Ancient City Gate Chonglu.

Day 11 (Tuesday) Suzhou / Shanghai

Take a morning flight to Shanghai , the bustling cosmopolitan center of business and commerce in China . Check-into Shanghai Skyway Pullman Hotel or similar class hotel. Take an afternoon tour to the Bund - the window of Shanghai history and modern fast changes. Visit Xintiandi, a very well-known boutique area, where you will find fashion, tradition, fun & elegance. Tonight, enjoy a Shanghai Acrobatic Show. Check into Skyway Pullman Hotel.

Day 12 (Wednesday) Shanghai

Today's highlight is a visit to the Shanghai World EXPO. It covers a large area of over 5.6 Square KM with 27 master halls. The theme is to show all new creational hopes, concepts, designs, technologies, and present to the world a full potential of urban life in the 21st century as a significant one for urban evolution with New Approaches of Human Habitat, Beautiful Lifestyle. (Shanghai EXPO is valid for May 01 ¨C Oct.31, but on Feb.01-Apr.29, Nov.01-Dec31 pre & post exhibition might also available ). If Shanghai EXPO is not available, visit the ancient water-town of Zhujiajiao

In the afternoon, visit Shanghai Museum , one of best museum in the world. It is a comprehensive of art with a collection of finest cultural relics of over 120,000 pieces. The most attraction on display is stone sculptures and carving, bronze-ware, porcelain, calligraphic works & Chinese paintings and ancient furniture. After the Museum visit, stroll out the North Gate to the People Square , the surroundings are the best collection of modern architecture.
