India contains an undeniable charm that's hard to pinpoint. A tour through the Golden Triangle cities of Delhi , Jaipur and Agra reveals the rich legacy of its past and a wealth of cultural wonders. From the frenetic streets of New Delhi to the captivating presence of the Taj Mahal and the Red Fort, India's treasures are matched only by the spirit of its people.

Itinerary:

 

Day 1: USA-Hong Kong

Our adventure through the intriguing land of India begins as we board our international flight Hong Kong .

 

Day 2: En-route

The day is spent aboard our transpacific flight.

 

Day 3: Arrive-Hong Kong

Arrive in Hong Kong , a thriving metropolis where ancient traditions go hand in hand with the dynamic modern. Transfer to the hotel and enjoy a good night's rest.

 

Day 4: Hong Kong¨CDelhi

Fly to India 's capital city and greet our Ritz Tours guide in the arrivals hall. Transfer to our deluxe accommodations and spend the remainder of the evening unwinding in the hotel.

Day 5: Delhi      

Located in the western plains of India 's heartland, Delhi offers a glimpse into the fascinating soul of this ancient land. After breakfast, journey to Old Delhi and visit the Raj Ghat, a memorial to Mahatma Ghandi. Drive past the dramatic Red Fort and visit the Jam Masjid by bicycle rickshaw. The majestic Jam Masjid is India 's largest mosque and can accommodate a staggering 25,000 worshippers. Continue on to New Delhi , a spacious imperial capital built by the British, and visit the Qutub Minar, a soaring victory tower built in 1193. After touring the Tomb of Humayun, we drive past the regal India Gate, the Parliament Building and the presidential residence, Rastrapathi Bhawan.

Day 6: Delhi -Jaipur

Drive to Jaipur, popularly known as the ¡° Pink City .¡± The gateway to the desert city of Rajasthan , Jaipur has a colorful aura that stretches beyond its pink-hued buildings. Striking palaces and hilltop forts bear witness to its royal past; bustling bazaars and vibrant turbans in the street reveal the timeless quality of this fascinating city and its people.

Day 7: Jaipur  

Today we visit the ancient capital of Amber and tour the magnificent Amber Fort, which rests atop the rugged hills outside of Jaipur. An elephant (or alternatively, a Jeep) will spare us the trek up the hillside to the top of the fortress. Stroll through the sprawling complex, then stop at the Palace of the Winds. Return to Jaipur for a city tour to exquisite City Palace and Jantar Mantar, an astronomical observatory created by the Maharaja of Jaipur in 1726

Day 8: Jaipur - Agra 

Sightseeing today begins with a tour of the royal complex, Fatehpur Sikri. Built by Emperor Akbar in the 16th century, this ¡°dream city¡± is a maze of ornate pavilions, courtyards, and palaces that evokes images of opulent imperial times. In the afternoon, you will transit to Agra by motorcoach. The former imperial capital, Agra is India 's most famous destination thanks to its crown jewel, the Taj Mahal.

Day 9: Agra 

A ride on Tonga 's ¡°horse carriages¡± takes us to the gates of the Taj Majal, once referred to as a ¡°poem in stone.¡± One of the world's most famous buildings, this extravagant monument was built in 1631 as a testament to undying love. It was commissioned by Mughal Emperor Shah Janan in memory of his second wife and took over 22 years and 20,000 people to complete. After admiring the grandeur of the Taj Mahal, we visit Agra Fort, one of the most breathtaking Mughal forts in India

Day 10: Agra-Delhi

Transit to Delhi by motorcoach. Upon arrival, check in to the hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 11: Delhi-Hong Kong

Spend the day free at leisure until we board a late evening flight to Hong Kong (overnite onboard). A Special Administrative Region of China since 1997, Hong Kong offers visitors a host of historical, cultural, and scenic attractions within its compact area.

Day 12: Hong Kong

The plane touches down in Hong Kong in the morning. Our half-day city tour begins as we take in dazzling views of Hong Kong's skyline from atop Victoria Peak . We also drive by Repulse bay and visit Stanley Market and Aberdeen Floating Community, home to hundreds of residents living on traditional fishing junks.

 

Day 13: Hong Kong - USA  

Our Indochina journey comes to a close as we board our return flight to the US .
